I love my high school, the old architecture and the small class sizes. I love how I see my friends when I walk down the hallways and I love being able to great my teachers as I walk into class. However, my high school is known for snobby white rich kids with old money. There are specific kids in my grade who don’t show up to class, who don’t study for tests or pay attention. Kids who think that they don’t need to try because their parents are rich. I am glad that I wasn’t necessarily raised that way. While my parents are well set, I was taught that nothing in life will just be handed to me. So Oakwood bothers me in that sense, and I think that the attitude of the students here should change. I find myself getting excited to wake up at 5 in the morning to go to early lab. I know, weird. But it overall this school has made me a better person, and I am grateful to have gone here....
