Activation of standard Fiori apps (2024)

I am grateful to share the concept of Standard Fiori App Activation. So, found gathering info here and there. There by I am writing this blog which would be more useful within single shot.

In this Blog I tried to make things simple and easier with some reference screenshots that helps you to make Standard Fiori App Activation.

SAP Fiori is a new user experience for SAP software and applications. It provides a set of applications that are used in regular business functions like work approvals, financial apps, calculation apps and various self-service apps.

SAP Fiori Apps can be accessed on desktops, Mobile or tablets. These are web-based applications hosted on SAP-Fiori server front-end system and access business data from back-end system.

SAP Fiori apps are of two types:

1. Standard Apps
   
   
   
   • Implementation of those business apps, which are released by SAP. These are categorized as Transnational, Fact-sheets and Analytical apps etc.
   
   
   • 
     
   
   


2. Customized Apps
   
   
   
   • As per business requirement, a complete custom fiori app can be implemented.
   
   
   
   

In this Blog We are working on Standard Application activation process.

Let's get into the show

STEP1 : Please make note of fiori app id and search for your app in the fiori apps library and select the app needed.

STEP2: Check the configuration section in the fiori apps library please take the path of ICF Node and check in sap System.

Step3: Make sure that sicf services are activated. If not activated please activate the sicf services in the front end system.

Step4: Log into the SAP front end system. Enter into Tcode SICF and click on Enter.

Step 5: If not activated right click the service and click on the Activate service.

Step 6: Check whether OData service maintained in the NetWeaver gateway or not, if not maintained add the service by clicking the add service in Tcode: /n/iwfnd/maint_service.

Step 7: Search for business catalog in the fiori apps library to take reference from the standard catalog.

Step 8: Search for business catalog based on semantic object and action in the designer.

Step 9: Before taking the reference please check the app properly. Whether it belongs our app configuration or not.

Check Application title, URL, Semantic Object, Action etc.,

Step10: Now take the reference from the standard catalog to custom catalog.

So that create your own catalog and click on configure so that an search help is populated, in that search for the standard catalog and select.

STEP11: Now the tile will be available under our catalog.

Step 12: Select the group make tile to be available under our group.

To make tile available please select the which tile is needed and click on + icon so that it would get added successfully by indicating with green tick mark.

STEP13: Assign this catalogs and groups to the roles along with the test users. The tiles will be available in the launchpad.
