Role administrators assign tile groups to a user's PFCG role.

Context

To assign a tile group to the user’s role (end user and catalog administrator) inRole Maintenance (transactionPFCG), you add a node of typeTile Group to one of the user's roles. Proceed asfollows:

Procedure

  1. In Role Maintenance (transactionPFCG), provide the role name andchoose Change.

    If no role exists, create a role by choosing Create Single Role. Allusers with this role are granted access to the tile group assigned to therole.

  2. Choose the Menu tab.
  3. Choose Assigning Groups to Roles (1) and select SAP Fiori Tile Group.
  4. To assign a tile group to a role, enter a group ID.

    The group ID is the name that you provided when creating the tile group in the launchpaddesigner.

    You can use the value help for this.

Results

The tile group you assigned to the role is available in the role menu. You can view thecontent of the tile group in the SAP Fiori launchpad designer by choosingExecute from the context menu of the group in the rolemenu.

In the SAP Fiori launchpad, tile groups that are assigned to one of the user's roles aredisplayed on the user's home page. An end user can personalize the home page byadding or removing apps to pre-delivered groups or self-defined groups.
