We love grilling out corn on the cob. This flavorful vegetable is one that my family will eat without complaining. But grilling it with bacon really takes the corn to the next level.

Wrapping the bacon around the corn on the cob really helps to hold in flavor and makes it very juicy. The great thing about this recipe is you can grill it or bake it and the flavor is still delicious.

The seasoning are simple but add so much flavor to the corn. Add this amazing side dish the next time you grill out for a delicious side to any of your meats.

Ingredients:

  • Ears of Corn, shucked
  • Bacon
  • Chili Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Honey
  • Vegetable Oil

How to Make Corn on the Cob Wrapped in Bacon:

  • Prepare Grill – Preheat the grill over medium high heat (approximately 450 degrees F). Remove the corn from the husk.
  • Combine Seasoning – Mix together the chili powder, salt and pepper together in a small bowl.
  • Rub Seasoning on Sweet Corn – Rub the vegetable oil on the ears of the corn and season the corn with the half of the seasoning mixture.
  • Wrap Bacon around Corn – Then wrap each of the corn with pieces of bacon strips overlapping the bacon slightly (3 slices of bacon per ear of corn).

  • Place corn in foil – Then place each piece of corn on a piece of foil. Season the outside of the bacon on the corn with the remaining seasoning mixture and drizzle the honey evenly on top.

  • Baste with Honey – Use a basting brush to make sure that the honey is spread evenly on the bacon. Wrap the foil around the corn and secure the end of the foil. You can use maple syrup instead of honey in this recipe if you prefer.

  • Grill Corn on the Cob – Place the corn on the grill and cook for 25-30 minutes (turning the corn approximately every 5 minutes) until the bacon is crisp and the corn is cooked thorough.
