Why This Recipe Works

About ten years ago my husband and I started making this hot cheese dip and totally loaded it up with other ingredients to make it even more delish. We let it get nice and gooey in our crock pot and then we proceeded to eat the entire batch between the two of us. It wasn’t our healthiest day, but it’s proof that this delicious hot dip is impossible to resist.

Since that day, we’ve declared this our favorite indulgent dip of all time. We still make it from time to time, but with a tiny bit more restraint. This hot, gooey dip is perfect for parties and will be the first thing on the party table to get gobbled up.

Recipe Notes

  • Omit the meats, tomatoes and pickles for a creamier dip.
  • Cheddar, cheddar-jack, colby-jack mozzarella, provolone, monterey jack or any cheese that melts well works great in this recipe. Consider adding Valveeta, too!
