Currently working as a Relationship Banker. Haven’t had no complaints with how Chase has handled the pandemic from the consumer banking side. Recently I was asked if I was interested in a Financial solutions advisor role at Bank of America. Things have slowly began to pick up at our branch and while I would like to continue my career at Chase. The bump in base salary increases as well as the earning potential. I need help!!! Got an offer for Citi Private Bank at 110k for an Associate Banker (A1) position. Considering all the bulge brackets just announced 100k base for 1st year Analysts and that every year you go up 5k, that makes me feel like they are trying to lowball. I stupidly gave a salary range during the interview of 110-140k, cuz I was guessing, but I know JPM pays 130k base for the same role. How do I get myself to 130? First time negotiating, any advice appreciated!!!

I am not sure what to do. My company just had another round of massive layoffs. So far my job was spared. I do got a job offer from a different company but the salary is way lower than what I have now (20,000$ less). I was offered a Solutions Architect role with a packaging company. When discussing details with the recruiter, she specified that the salary was $60k…I was shocked to hear that number.

I gave her my target salary as $100-120k (I have 3 years experience in IT, 1 in IT Procurement, now a PM). She said the highest they would likely be able to go is $85k, but she would have to speak with the hiring managers.

I still think $85 is too low for the role. What do you think is a fair salary?

I have a lot of student debt from law school. I’ve refinanced a couple of times and received the best fixed rate available, but I’ve seen others refinance with a variable rate which of course is lower. I’ve read some other comments of people refinancing at a super low variable rate....isn’t this risky? Of course I am afraid of going variable and then the interest rates going up a lot. Am I missing something?

I cleared the Interview for SDET in Oracle today in the Manager discussion, He asked about the Expectations and I told 25 lpa, He said we cant pay that much as Your current is 14.7.
