I posted about this a few days ago! I would get the chills then be hot. I read online it’s normal due to the hormonal changes we’re going through. I plan on asking my OB next week at my 6 week appt. I only felt like that for 2 days and I’m no longer experiencing it

If you have a fever, it could be an infection. Chills/hot flashes are normal but accompanied with a fever can be a sign of infection and even sepsis, both of which needs treated asap

@steph123455,
same here. Some chills are normal, but I knew this was different. I couldn’t stop shaking, and my body just hurt so much. Ended up going back to the hospital for five days as well. We caught it just before it turned into sepsis.

I get really bad night sweats which I think is normal at this stage, but if you feel more like it’s a fever with chills I think you should call your doctor as it could be an infection.

I had the chills bad the other night. It woke me up & I couldn’t stop shaking for about 20mins. Thankfully I have a thermometer and checked it & my temp was perfectly fine. When I googled found out postpartum shakes/chills quite normal. Def never happened with my 1st (well except when u got mastitis). Scared the crap out of me. I was 7days pp and it hasn’t happened since.

I have really bad night sweats caused by hormones….also had them with my first! They lasted a couple months my first time around. I would be cautious with the chills though and make sure you don’t have a fever!
I had my second son 4 weeks ago and our first night home I ended up having severe chills accompanied with excessive sweating…I thought it was normal until I realized I had a 103 fever. I ended up being admitted back to the hospital for pneumonia and sepsis!
