How do I upload a case to Pacsbin? ›

What it does: IDV is a free mobile DICOM viewer. The interface is very user friendly. To download your cases, you just need to import files from your phone or from URL seamlessly.

While PACS and DICOM are often used together, they are different. PACS refers to the overall system used to manage medical images, while DICOM refers to the specific standard encoded and transmitted images and data. In other words, PACS is a system that uses the DICOM standard to store and communicate medical images.

DICOM files are images that come digitally from medical scans like MRIs and ultrasounds. You can view DICOM files on any computer with a free online viewer called Jack Imaging. If you'd prefer an app, you can download MicroDicom (PC only) or open the files in Adobe Photoshop (PC and Mac).

How do I open a DICOM file online? ›

To send studies from your local archive, select the study (or multiple studies), right-click to show the context menu, select Send to PACS and the destination PACS node. The sending process will start. If there are any errors encountered during the procedure, the message will be displayed below the progress bar.
