How do I get lifetime platinum elite Marriott? ›

Achieve Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum Elite status after 600 total lifetime nights and 10 years of Platinum Elite status or higher.

Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite is for members that stay at least 50 nights per year at Marriott properties. Platinum Elite members earn 50% more points on eligible hotel purchases. Platinum members get to choose between points, complimentary breakfast or other amenities for their welcome gift during their stays.

Once you've hit 50 nights, you'll automatically be awarded Platinum status. You might opt for the traditional, straightforward method of acquiring these credits by spending 50 nights in a Marriott-branded hotel.

If you were to keep staying with Marriott throughout the year, eventually achieving Platinum Elite status in November 2025, then your Platinum status would be valid until February 2027 as well.

That being said, earning the most impactful status in the Marriott Bonvoy program, Platinum Elite status, requires staying 50 nights at Marriott hotels in one calendar year.

1. As a Platinum Card Member you are eligible to enrol in complimentary Marriott Bonvoy™ Gold Elite Status. Once you request enrolment within the Marriott Bonvoy Program at the Gold Elite Status level, American Express will share your enrolment information with The Marriott Bonvoy™ Program.

You will never experience an Elite status below your current Lifetime level. However, if you have a current Elite status level above your lifetime Elite tier, you must meet the annual renewal requirements for that Elite tier in order to retain it.

Members will see their new status in March 2024 and can enjoy their existing status through February 2024. Members who achieved a higher Elite status during 2023 already have a status expiration date of February 2025.
