Mr. Haz Taco Bar is a mexican restaurant with an outdoor seating area that serves up tacos and guacamole. The food is reasonably priced, and the restaurant also serves avocado fries, chili butter, and honey-lime-tequila chicken legs.

Slide 1 of 8

Taco’s are street food, often eaten standing up at a festival or walking along after leaving the pub with Andre drinks inside you! So often this means they are delivered without finesse or real care for the quality of ingredients. At Mr Haz the chef’s care is apparent in each dish. The quality of the ingredients is clearly paramount, and the consideration given to each Taco recipe shows in the balanced flavours. Genuinely a boy if a revelation. The prices here in an expensive pet if an expensive city are reasonable and the location is perfect, a quiet street in a busy area. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We had dinner along with the long flight tequila tasting. The pulled pork tacos, jerk chicken tacos, asparagus tacos and the cheese nachos were all good. Portions are small (as tacos typically would be), so we definitely could have had more! All ingredients are homemade which makes everything better too.The long flight tequila tasting was definitely the highlight of the night, the owner was lovely and she took us through the 5 tequilas with a lot of added background knowledge and stories.Service was from an incredibly hospitable French waitress - she was great!!

After a long-haul flight, my family of four had a pleasant dining experience here. The service we received was friendly and attentive. The food arrived promptly and was tasty. The atmosphere had a pleasant vibe, adding to the overall enjoyment of our evening.

Friday night with a group of friends, what's better than a social mex dinner? The place is not super big, so reservation is mandatory especially for big groups. We had some nachos as shared starter, then a selection of different tacos, to try almost everything on the menu.I was personally not amazed by the nachos, but the tacos were really a great experience: vegetarian, fish based, meat tacos. My favourite was the one with shrimps and avocado, totally recommended! And pitcher of frozen margarita all along dinner, to cheer at the bars and restaurants being reopened now!We paid 60€ each, but the price went up with all the pitchers we got (8 or 10 at least, don't even know). 😅

Good and friendly service. The co*cktails were disappointing, I guess they weren't made in a professional way, the price though is really close to professionally made ones! For one euro more you can get a very tasty and well presented Mezcal Mule in other places. The Fresca Mexicana had a very dominant artificial taste. The grilled steak taco's 🌮 were medium rare and super tasty! The portion price was very high in my opinion 10,5 euro for 2 small serves. To feel relatively full 😋 I need at least 6 serves - > ~30 euro of taco's . It's a bit too much for what it really is !!

I must say the service was really good, the ladies were flexible and pleasant. Unfortunately, i drank a gin&tonic that tasted soapy, tacos were dry and nachos didn’t taste like anything. The dessert of dulce ice-cream was really good. However, you don’t go to a taco bar for a spanish dessert…Even though, the service was really nice. I wouldn’t recommend going there, also taking into the consideration the price :/

Absolutely delicious tacos! Simple yet bursting with just the right spices. The Jerk is an absolute winner. The ambience is cozy for a date night, a fun evening with a friend. Good co*cktails too (although I missed tequila rush, in hindsight great decision for a Tuesday). The prices are very reasonable for a place smack in the ring.Full points, a regular visit.

They took 45minutes to serve our food. It was mediocre. The nachos were quite bad: all nachos should have cheese and that cheddar looked really bad, more like a sauce. There are better options in the neighborhood.I guess it's an OK place if you're not familiar with Mexican food.

Taco restaurant

Los Pilones is a trendy mexican restaurant with a terrace that serves up delicious tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and more. With over 200 varieties of tequila and mezcal behind the bar, you'll be in for a fiesta when you visit. The place was founded by three Mexican brothers who came to Amsterdam in 2001 and has since become well known for its tasty tacos and co*cktails.

Slide 1 of 4

It's a great little Mexican restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. They've changed their menu, offering less choices but exquisite taste and keeping a traditional cuisine. Their interior has also undergone a little update, making the place less claustrophobic. The prices won't break the bank, providing your appetite is a modest one.

Great Mexican food experience. The ambience is very good, excellent and well behaved staff. They also have an extensive drinks menu.We tried the beef briskets and enchiladas verdes. Both were excellent in taste. The beef briskets were cooked to perfection with a juicy texture. Enchiladas had a great flavor and the meat was soaked in the cream. I was slightly disappointed with the quantity of meat in both the dishes for the price.I would recommend this place if you crave for Mexican dishes in Amsterdam.

Possibly the best authentic Mexican tacos I had in my entire life. The restaurant is very nice and cozy with a very nice atmosphere, definitely would go again.Losses a star because they actually did a mistake and forgot my food order, when I asked the waiter again after 45minutes he told me its coming and did not apologise for forgetting (no harm no foul, but not 5 stars)

Went here with a group of colleagues and this place is small but so cozy! I was expecting more tourists but none of that. Portion sizes are small, but the food is good. A must try is the dessert, Mexican corn bread!

Salsa Shop is a seriously good mexican restaurant with a variety of taco dressings to choose from. The barbacoa beef tacos are particularly delicious and the guacamole is creamy and delicious. The restaurant is open until 10pm on weekdays, 11pm on weekends.

Fresh ingredients made onsite. Super friendly staff. Fast and casual Mexican food (and drinks). What else do you need? I had a beef burrito (barbacoa) with all the toppings (🤭) and fiery yellow habanero sauce. It was the most spicy sauce, but not enough for me (I’d expect more, given the warning signal next to it).

Food is tasty, salsas are spicy and delicious, but my oh my is this expensive. Since when did rice, beans, and some meat in a wrap cost €11? Forget the price of fuel, and worry about the price of burritos my friends. Can't fault the service, but at this price point it wouldn't hurt if the servers were a little more generous in their portions.Despite all that I still come once a week. The desires of the stomach are stronger than the worries of the wallet.

Full Review: Outstanding Mexican Flavors and Stellar Service!Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Salsa Shop in Amsterdam, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that instantly transported me to the heart of Mexico. The food at Salsa Shop is simply outstanding. Halal chicken and beef.. Every bite was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors that left me craving for more. The ingredients were fresh, the spices were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. Whether it was their mouthwatering tacos, zesty burritos, or their flavorful salsas, each dish was a true culinary masterpiece. What impressed me even more was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They patiently guided me through their extensive options and even suggested some personal favorites. Their passion for delivering a memorable dining experience was evident in every interaction.Furthermore, the cleanliness and hygiene standards at Salsa Shop were impeccable, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all customers.I highly recommend the Salsa Shop to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Mexico in Amsterdam. You won't be disappointed by the delicious food, impeccable service, and the overall fantastic experience. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a gem in the heart of the city!#halal #Amsterdam #Mexican

The staff is super friendly and helped me decide the sauces based on my preferences. The tacos, were wonderfully amazing and tasted super delicious. The prices are as well very cheap compared to other Mexican cuisine restaurants.Definitely a place worth trying!!

The overall theme around the shop is cute, workers are nice and give you a good amount inside your burrito 🌯 but I guess that isn't the best one you can get because mine specifically was kinda cold and felt not as fresh as I expected, the tortilla was a bit hard as well. But that's an acceptable good meal on the go.

Have been eating here so many time. Never has problem. Today ordered a bowl with chicken and all topping.... the chicken was super hard as it was overcook and got burned and after left outside it got cold and make it super hard and I couldn't chew it at all. Make my jaw is so sore. I am not a difficult person I only speak if I can't eat it. I was polite and ask a stuff there for help about the food. They said it weird they didn't know why and maybe next time they will cook it better. After that totally ignore me and I had to left my food that still 70% left. They also didn't care. Honestly it is not cheap and I didn't get what I pay for. Beside that the service is really bad that u don't care about client review. I was in your restaurant and my food was such. U should be responsible for that. Never come back again

Was on vacation with my family a little while ago when we came across this amazing “chipotle” style restaurant. The food was very good but hthe service was above and beyond. The young lady who helped us, Lorena, was probably the most polite and helpful person I ever met. She answered every single question we had with ease and even provided extraInformation about the menu which was extremely helpful. however she did not stop there she even went as far as recommending activities for the whole family to do in Amsterdam during our vacation. Give this young lady a raise !!

So in the last 3 weeks I ordered food from this location two times. Two weeks ago my order was wrong, and tonight my food was never delivered. Please consider going somewhere else if you are looking for Mexican food. I can highly recommend Los Pilones or Alfonso's. Whatever you do; don't waist your time or money here.

Found this place on our 3rd time in Amsterdam and we loved it! The food was really good and the staff is nice. The service went super fast and I love their salsa that it's really spicy.100% will go back again on our next trip in Amsterdam!

Oh. My. God. Where do I even begin. This is by far the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve BEEN to Mexico‼️‼️‼️. The finesse of the workers and hospitality they demonstrate is unmatched even in Michelin star restaurants. Salsa shop Amstel is my favorite location from the franchise because the staff is always pleasant with me. I have eaten here at least 3 times a week since I moved to Amsterdam a year ago and not once have I regretted dining here. A truly underrated gem that should be visited by everyone walking along the Amstel.

The taco restaurant Chiapas Taco Cartel is a favourite of the Amsterdam food scene. The tacos are delicious and filling, and there are plenty of choices for toppings. The nachos and quesadillas are also good, but they can be quite salty.

Slide 1 of 5

The food and co*cktails were delicious and considerably cheap! We had a lovely waitress that made sure we were satisfied. Good vibe, good music. Will definitely be back soon

Interesting Mexican food joint. The nachos and guac were ok, have had better tasting guac in Mexico. The rice and beans spring veggies was good. Everything served was a bit cold including the rice which is not usually the norm in Mexico. The Staff is very friendly and it was quick service. Overall a good experience.

We ordered Al Pastor(pork-based) and Sweet Spring (sweet potato-based) and both were delicious! Each serving consists of two tacos so you can mix and match as you like. We also had nachos and guacamole as a starter and three coronas in total, all this came out at about 30€, which we thought was a good price in relation to the great quality! The restaurant itself is laid back and comfortable, something we both appreciated. We received great service from the friendly staff and will definitely come back if we’re in the area again

Friendly staff and fresh burritos.I was recommended the crunchy chicken burrito and it was one of the tastiest burrito I had in a while. The burrito was filled with fresh ingredients and unique sauce.(I also really liked their takeaway bag. I would have enjoyed to have a colour-in time .)

Pretty good tacos, we got the special with pulled pork and it was delicious, the pastor was very good too though the meat was a little thick, but the flavours were there. They are not traditional Mexican rather mexican inspired but this is a good thing! They are very vocal about it. Take it from a Mexican, tacos are a gift to the world, owned by no-one claimed by many, tacos are the perfect vessel for yummy things, so if you have a nice tasting dish, chances are they will taste better in a taco. So guys, keep up the good work. Only thing i would have liked is some home made salsas (hint hint, contact me if you want some good recipes)

A very tiny hidden treasure!Great music and atmosphere. The staff is very kind and can help you a lot with the items on the menu.We went for the taco Tuesday special and it was totally worth it!3 euros per taco.... amazing dealPlus their nachos are incredible! And still very crunchy unlike most other places

Rare Mexican place in Amsterdam. Food is ok, nachos are really good ! Service was not the best, lady who was serving us today keep forgetting every order and we needed to ask 2/3 times for one thing. Thanks god it was another guy who host us well! Location it’s in the middle of the daily open market that is finishing at 5pm. We were sitting from 7-10pm and you are annoyed by cleaning stuff around you and smell of the market. Sitting inside it’s better option but super small place. Average co*cktail is 10-15 eur, that’s typical Dutch price. They have frozen Margaritas 1 L, wondering who is ordering this since after 5 mins when is melted it’s not drinkable. I will come back but will sit inside. Maybe a bit of investment in outside terrace will be nice ! Thx!

Such a nice co*cktail bar with Latin America vibes on Albert Cuypstraat! Interior is not so big but cozy. Sitting even at the bar is comfortable. I found their co*cktail menu design so smart that you don't gamble on taste of the co*cktail that you're gonna order. You know what you get in terms of sweetness, sourness etc. Despite having such small space inside, tables and bathrooms are exceptionally clean.

The restaurant is located in Albertcuyp market, so it is easy to find! But maybe because they tend to serve touristis they dont care about their customer experiences! The menus had a lot of food stains on it and it wasnt pleasent to touch it, it was dirty and sticky, so we checked their online menu which wasnt update! The table was so dirty and sticky that we tried not to touch it!We ordered taco, tuna tostada and nachos! The taco and tostada were small, considering the price! And tuna in the tostada wasnt fresh!I wont go their another time and do not recommend it beacuse I felt like they dont care about their customers! Overall not a good experience!

Definitely my favorite co*cktail bar in amsterdam.Very kind staff, lots of choice on the menu with dishes to share with your company and delicious co*cktails.Love this place!

Great PQR and underestimated place. the food and the co*cktails were excellent. For the sweet tooths among us I can recommend the Heidi Montag, lovely balanced and beautiful presentation or the even sweeter Violet Sky (?) which tasted like a retro lollipop. If you rather have a more tropical sensation and you like tequila, the bikini bottom is bursting with a fresh pineapple taste.I especially enjoyed spicy co*cktails Tiki and Sex in the City, which had a subtle taste of peppers. If you want to stay with the classics, they also make a mean frozen margherita. The co*cktail of the month is a great blend I would personally prefer in fall: think of a smokey apple pie. You get fresh tangy apple, mixed with caramel and cinnamon.. all with the smokiness of mezcal. I love it, but it's a bit odd for summer maybe. Overall the drinks didn't make me flush (asian flush) that badly, which often speaks of the quality alcohol used. The bites we had, were tasty as well! For all the citrus-fans I can greatly recommend the summer salad, though I can imagine that for most it might be too sour. The tartar is definitely a favourite of mine, stacked on ripe avocado. We had some great quesadillas which were crunchy and come with a bit of mashed Avocado and tomato-like dip. The trio of tacos was varied and tasty, but I have to admit I'm more of a traditional birria or carnitas kinda girl.Overall a lovely place to go for drinks and bites!

Officially my best Mexican in Amsterdam. The whole experience with them deserves 5 stars.I’m a person allergic to paprikas, and they made their best to tweak the orders so I could still enjoy the food. However all food that was ordered was super delicious and tasty. The drinks were very good as well, with a very wide selection of many co*cktails. Dessert menu is poor but it’s ok, maybe they enhance it later. As for the staff, they are super super friendly and nice.

The Senor Mostachio restaurant in Pijp offers delicious Mexican street food that is perfect for a quick and easy meal. The food is consistently tasty, with portions that are generous, making it ideal for sharing. The atmosphere is also very charming, with friendly service and colourful walls. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, this should definitely be on your list of restaurants to visit.

The food was huge and soo delicious! The waitress was so helpful and friendly as well. We really enjoyed our visit here. Definitely recommend going here☺️

Lovely mexican gem in de pijp. The service and the atmosphere were great. We had a frozen margarita and mojitos to drink, which were superb. The food was tasty. We had nachos, which could be a little richer in both portion and taste. The beef tacos where super nice and the quesadilla with beef was alright. The deserts are top!If you like Mexican food, you should definitely visit 🌮

This unplanned visit to Senor Mostachio turned out be an amazing Mexican food experience. My friend and I were around the de pijp area and we were pretty hungry and this was the first place we saw so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all! We ordered the chicken nachos, quesadillas and fish tacos. Everything was super tasty. And the margaritas were also really good. The dude who runs the place is also super friendly and made our experience here a great one. It is however a little heavy on the pocket hence the 4 stars but I came out of this restaurant a happy and slightly over full man.

Taco restaurant

Coba Taqueria is a character filled taco restaurant in Amsterdam Noord. They change their menu every week, and use fresh local ingredients to create delicious tacos. They have a strong margarita as well as a range of off-the-beaten-path tacos. Some favourites included the veal tongue tacos and the black pudding on blue corn tortillas.

Slide 1 of 7

Great delicious inventive tacos. Good margaritas and fast service. Did not enjoy the dessert, but these were the best tacos I had outside Mexico. The beef brisket and the octopus ones were especially tasty.

Loved everything here! Good vibes, attentive staff, and the fooooood; my goodness! Delicious flavor combinations, everything we ordered tasted delicious in its own way. It’s a restaurant to remember and come back to

Tacos are great especially the one with octopus but a bit overpriced. co*cktails are also very good with different varieties. The interior is amazing. A good place for a group of friends. No enterance without booking, it is always full.

The food was good, but not amazing. We actually missed umami flavors within the dishes, the flavors were quite repetitive. The tostada's are way too small for what you pay for. How are 3 tacos €15+ euros and 1 tostada is €15,50. It really doesn't make any sense to me. The co*cktails were okay but also not great. Price wise I wouldn't go here again. The service was quite pushy, at some point we got asked if we wanted anything else every 7 minutes, it was a bit too much.

The best tacos in Amsterdam! I liked them so much that I ordered them twice. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice - feels like a bit of Texas and a bit of Mexico. The service was very friendly and great. My favorites were also their dipping sauces and the co*cktails. Overall an amazing restaurant in the north of Amsterdam.

The best Mexican spot in Amsterdam, by far! The dishes are so authentically made, using traditional Mexican herbs and spices—packed with so much flavor! The ambiance makes you feel like you’re right in Mexico City. And the service is great—everyone is so warm and welcoming!

If you're in the mood for some delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere, look no further than Coba! I recently visited this restaurant with a group of friends. I tried all the vegetarian options and each one was absolutely delicious. However, the mango and cauliflower taco was the standout winner for me. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand as this restaurant is a popular spot, and for good reason. The service was excellent - the staff were attentive and friendly. The co*cktails were also top-notch.Overall, the vibe at Coba was fantastic. It was the perfect place to enjoy a night out with friends - great food, great drinks, and a great atmosphere. I had a wonderful time and I can't wait to come back for more. Five stars all around.

Mexicaans Cafe-Restaurant La Margarita Amsterdam is a centrally located establishment with views of one of the citys oldest canals. The menu features hearty and filling Mexican food choices, as well as margaritas made with premium spirits.

Slide 1 of 3

Staff were friendly, but very overworked. We were told 2 people for 2 floors of guests. This made the initial wait a little long, but waiter was friendly and could be seen rushing around trying to cover as much as possible while still being friendly at each table. + for effort.Food came fairly quick after ordering and was good. All in all a good experience, although the place would benefit from more staff on busy days.

Two of the floor staff it was their first day. So I’m guessing high turnover. Not a good sign. Salty meat, stale chips, bland salsa and tasteless guacamole. They didn’t serve us soft corn tortillas with the meal. They instead served store bought raw uncooked hard shell tortillas that sat like a rock in my stomach. Mexican food is not a thing in the Netherlands. Obviously. But hey they had a nice tequila selection.

The worst food experience in Amsterdam. It's only the young waitresses that deserves the star. It's a tourist trap without doubt because it looks really cozy and the seating outside is nice. However, you wait forever for the food. We ordered Nachos for starters and they were quite soggy, but ok. Then we waited a long time again. My two friends got their food: not properly cooked tenderloin, dull fries and a salad you are not even considering eating. We waited for my food for a bit before I decided to tell my friends to eat before their's got cold. My friends finished the parts of their food they found edible and we decided to leave... so hangry right now.

The restaurant Rosario Cocina Mexicana has great food and service, but the margarita was not very good. The chef who works here is very nice and stopped by to see how we liked our meal. This is a great place to try some delicious Mexican food in Amsterdam.

Slide 1 of 6

Best service, passionate chef and staff! Amazing chef tasting menu! Be prepared to be surprised. The love time and consideration put into this food was above and beyond we will definitely return in the future.

The food in this restaurant is really delicious. In order of category, tacos were the best particularly the Tacos de Suadero. Followed by the Entradas especially the Sikil Pak then the Flautas then the Quesadilla. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are rich. Why the three stars and not more? The service is really unbelievably slow! We were 2 people and all we ate is in the pictures, it took over 2 hours to serve all the food. This was not very pleasant especially that each portion is not the big. They put a lot of though in it but there is a sweet spot between waiting a while between serving food until it becomes annoying. The waiting in this case crossed into the realm of annoying. Nevertheless, no regrets, if you don’t mind waiting and you are not that hungry then it is worth a try!

The food and the service was great but the margarita was bad. The owner who is the chef was very nice. She stopped by to check how we liked the food. A great place to try some good Mexican food in Amsterdam.

The reviews did not lie. The food and the co*cktails were really nice. I enjoyed it so much. We only had vegetarian options and they tasted great. For drinks I can really recommend the smokey paloma and the espresso martini. We also had the flan, which is a classic and was super tasty as well. Also the staff was really friendly and attentive. In total we paid 100€ for two people (with tip).

really good service but none of the dishes met my expectation… the tortilla of the quesadilla was very hard and almost as if it was deep fried, the starter looked and tasted random, tacos were just greasy

This place is really special. We booked here whilst we were on a girls city break and it did not disappoint. Really good veggie options, one was so good we actually ordered another plate immediately. The margaritas were excellent and they even made us off menu hibiscus margaritas when we mentioned we’d had some good ones in Mexico. The service was incredible, every single plate was flavourful and authentic. Would 10/10 recommend.

Bar

Fiona is a mexican restaurant in Amsterdam with an all-day menu that focuses on seasons. It offers plant-based cooking, and you can find breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The service was slow at times, but the staff were very friendly. The food was great - especially the fish tacos - and the prices were reasonable.

Slide 1 of 10

Authentic Portuguese food, friendly staff and great service! Highly recommended. Missing 1 star only because I did not like the smell (maybe the candle they used) and the led lights. But this is just me being a Karen. The wild boar is butter soft! Give it a try!

Perfect place! Everything was delicious and perfect service! But the portions were super small in both drinks and food!

I found it hard to choose a worthwhile sit-down dinner in Amsterdam due to high prices and lacklustre food, but Fiona went beyond my expectations. The staff are really accommodating and all of the chefs greet you on arrival (open kitchen plan), the views of the Dam you get when sitting in the back of the restaurant are breathtaking and the food was more than up to standard being quick to arrive, and tasting hot and fresh. Great value, would definitely return when visiting the city next!

Nice interior and vibe! The food was also quite good (especially the fish tacos) and they had frozen mango margarita on the menu. Service was a bit slow but still super nice & friendly

Lovely experience at Fiona! Beautiful south American scenery with delicious co*cktails, tasty food and polite service. The Fiona co*cktail was my favorite! We had a great evening, but the only downside is that you only have the table for 2 hours and afterwards the waiter automatically gives you the bill.

Fiona is an authentic Portuguese restaurant located in Amsterdam that offers delicious and authentic Portuguese cuisine. The restaurant's friendly staff and excellent service provide a great dining experience, and it is advisable to reserve a table in advance to ensure a good spot. During the visit, the standout dish was the nachos with guacamole, which were outstanding. The food is reasonably priced, and the overall experience at Fiona is unforgettable. It is a must-visit restaurant in Amsterdam for those seeking authentic Portuguese cuisine.

Had the best food here!! The menu is small but I like the idea of small plates to try different Mexican dishes. My friend had the quesadillas and the soft tacos and recommends them. I had the large plate salmon which was really good, beautiful salmon and brilliant combined textures with the sweet potato and banana chips. co*cktails were also really good. Expensive but the flavours were amazing and worth the money. Would recommend booking ahead but we managed to get a table for 2 for an hour @18:00.

Restaurant is cool, good atmosphere, nice chairs. The co*cktails were underwhelming and the tacos were tasty, but tiny. For the price charged not acceptable. For example the Bloody Maria I had was a sad version of a Bloody Mary. The meat main dish was set up well, but the meat was tough and chewy. It should’ve been soft and fallen off the bone.It was overall ok, but we won’t be back or recommend it.

Great place couple of blocks away from Central station. The staff was very friendly, the food’s quality was very good and the drinks were nice. Probably some of the best Mexican food I’ve tried outside of Mexico. And kudos for the music selection, old school salsa songs I hadn’t heard since on ages. Not the cheapest of places but then again the quality is worth it.

Fiona served us in a cosy restaurant located under a hotel. You have to make a reservation in advance (best more than a day or two ahead). If you have no reservation and there is no space (as most of the time) you get rejected. The food was delicious. Some of the best tacos I had in a long time. Also the empanada and octopus were very good. Also, give a try to the in house co*cktails.

Cabrón is a delicious Mexican food bar in De Pijp with a menu that boasts mouth-watering dishes packed with flavour. From vegan jackfruit tacos to burrito birria, this is Mexican food everyone can love. While the prices may have gone up, the quality of the food remains unchanged and is well worth a visit.

Gosh, such delicious tacos here! Make sure you try their truffle and mushrooms tacos, their baja fish, and the vegetarian pastor (with that smoked pineapple!). Don’t skip the starters though… the elote corn is so sophisticated and special. I think they have the best totopos/nacho chips here in Amsterdam coz they’re served really warm, with a tasty guac side. For dessert, get the filled churros! The mezcal co*cktail with pineapple and cinnamon is a must.

The food was absolutely delicious. The tacos were tasty. The quesadillas were good but not the best. The chorizo croquetas were really tasty. But to be honest: they have become quite a bit more expensive so I wonder whether the price-quality ratio is still up there.

They served the best Tacos and co*cktail tho! The location is very strategic and the staff is very friendly. They have variety type of choices but the price is slightly overprice for the food portion i would say. But so far the atmosphere did not disappointed me.

Soooo expensive and tiny finger food portions. Good taste, but not excellent. Was part of a party of 9-10 people which was booked in advance, but they split us up in two tables which was not a nice experience. Service was slow and we always had to ask for attention just to get our water refilled, maybe that day they were understaffed.

Food and service were excellent so will definitely be back! 2 things that aren’t great:1. If the table is only available for 1 1/2 hours, it would be great to know this when making the booking and not after arriving at the restaurant2. When the place is full, it’s really loud and hard to make a conversation with your dinner guestOtherwise really awesome. Nice food and drink selection as well! Thanks

This is a little spot of southwestern US goodness. I lived in Los Angeles and Tucson for 22 years, 2 years in Amsterdam and I miss these flavors so much. The smells and tastes here were perfect, authentic and ,if you want it, spicy. The Pico and guac were absolutely heaven. I'm going to be here often! Henry and Tom are great, such an awesome place!

Best burritos in Amsterdam. Come here for the friendly people and the most amazing burritos. If you are just in Amsterdam for 1 day, I would still recommend coming here.

One of the best burritos according to me!I recommend the one with aubergine (had it with jalapenos and sour cream and if you like that taste it is mouthwatering!)They have many meat options but also two vegetarians and a lot of ways to customise it too.Their nachos are also great.Service is fast and the guys are very nice and smiley! Always a plus point :)

If you're in Amsterdam and looking for a restaurant that's fun, unique, and has great food - then check out Parakeet. The staff is friendly and the co*cktails are delicious - it's always crowded so call ahead to make sure they have a table! Prices are reasonable by Amsterdam standards.

Nachos and co*cktails were great! Tried 4 different co*cktails and they were all delicious and these were the best nachos we’ve had in Amsterdam, the chips are just awesome and toppings were perfect. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!Prices were reasonable by Amsterdam standards. Our bill was around €85 for 6 co*cktails and a full portion of nachos.

I went here on a recommendation from a friend. It was so delicious and cozy. It is a small restaurant so reservations are necessary. But I think this adds to the appeal of this place. The bar is meters away from your table so you get the added benefit of watching the bartender shake up some fantastic co*cktails. The wait staff are all very friendly and especially helpful on recommendations. This place is about Nachos and I love that they make their own corn (no gluten, added bonus for me) tortilla chips. From the first bite of my tasty Erasmus nachos to the last I was in heaven. The co*cktails were the icing on top. I can't say enough good things about this place... You must go if you are a lover of Mexican food.

Love this place! The co*cktails are all super tasty and strong, we tried 6 in total and liked every single oneThe nachos were very good too, a decent portion for 2 not very hungryThe whole experience was really nice, the service is great, the staff is super fun and friendly and the space is really cozy

Nice place and even better food. Prices are ok, expect around 18 euros for a whole nacho meal which is enough for 2 people who aren't that hungry. They use homemade nacho chips which has a nice crunch and taste to it. They also fill it up whith sauce and greenery which gives a nice and refreshing taste. co*cktails do taste nice and with a twist.Always call before coming because it is almost always full.

Great Mexican food. Homemade nachos and pulled pork are amazing. The portions are really big, the half option is more than enough for one person. Make sure to make a reservation if you want to visit in the evening because the seatings are limited while the place is quite popular. Great selection of co*cktails including the non alcohol options

The trendy and stylish bar Louie Louie is a perfect spot for a night out with friends. With its wide range of drinks, delicious food and breath-taking views, the bar really stands out. The all-day kitchen serves up international classics for breakfast and lunch, making it the perfect place to stop by if you're looking for some mouthwatering eats.

Gotta love Louie Louie, whatever time of the day. Usually I’m there for wine and snacks in the afternoon/evening but this time I went there for a post-work out coffee and fruit bowl in the morning. Good service and good food.

Simple. Tasty. Nice atmosphere. They allow dogs so that already a plus for us.The staff is friendly and the food is up to par and worth the money.Get yourself a nice lunch here and you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent venue for the party. The prices are very affordable (basically, €10 per dish) and the food is very good. My favorite is beef tacos, they are damn good! The guests also liked nachos with extra chicken. The atmosphere is amazing. It is a very much place for locals, far enough from touristic zones. The only minor flaw I could mention is that sometimes they have been losing parts of the order, so we had to double ask for a few dishes. Totally worth the visit.

Great variety of special beers, good snacks, great location and good staff.

A great ambiance, friendly staff and a variety of tasty choices. If you’re looking for an informal yet bubbly environment to have breakfast, lunch or dinner, you should definitely give this a try. The prices are reasonable and the quality is great.

Nice place to enjoy the day/evening. Tasty bites, cold beers, nice atmosphere. Service is good. One thing I'm missing are burgers but that's my (junk) food with a beer :) Joke aside, you will not miss anything here. Enjoy your day

Good atmosphere, the interior is very nice. Out of 5 dishes ordered, I really liked the ceviche (amazing sauce) and the spicey miso ramen. Had to ask twice for the waiter to bring us water and bring spoons for the soup.

A little bit on the outskirts of Amsterdam but still worth a visit. Food is great and the portions are huge! So choose discreetly. Staff is super friendly and the food is great.

Nice cafe located not far away from the tropical institute. Pleasant service and good food options are served here. The ambience is lively and informal. We ordered a sandwich cheese which was nicely presented and tasted great.

Tacos & Tequila is a Mexican restaurant that serves up some of the best tacos in town. The staff are super friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious - perfect for any craving. With locations in both Sydney and Melbourne, there's always a Tacos & Tequila close by.

Slide 1 of 8

This place is absolutely delicious! It’s a great spot for visitors and the food is absolutely a step above the sea of food in the surrounding area. I highly recommend it! There is even a nice little outside dining area for the warm days!

Great place for co*cktails. The tequila & mezcal selection was really impressive. The food was rather disappointing. The chips & guacamole was not fresh or homemade. The chips themselves were so good, but the deconstructed dips were really bland & not made with fresh avocado. The shrimp tacos weren’t tempura battered, as was written in the menu. Each taco had one, single breaded shrimp in it. Very disappointing for €13 tacos. The hottest salsa had good spice, but still was weirdly sugary.Burritos were also pretty small for €16.The ambience & service were truly lovely. Just wish the food had lived up to the decor.

I really like the tacos here! I have had the other tacos before, but this time we wanted to try some other dishes. The tacos were amazing as always! But the quesadillas were sadly really hard and hard to chew. The burrito was good, but I like the tacos better!

The absolute best Mexican food ive eaten in a long time. It was so good that we ate here 2 days in a row and will certainly be back. The quality, flavour and cooking of the dishes is absolute perfection. Service is excellent, great vibe, and delicious drinks. Thanks!

Excellent experience, awesome food and service. I advice to try tacos with chicken and shrimp. Nachos were delicious but should serve with cheese as default. I do not like rose normally but their selection of rose were soft and tasty, I enjoyed it so much.Absolutely good wine quality and nice pairing. Ambient of restaurant is cool, candles and fresh roses; nice touch from Holland. Last but not least compliments to the our fantastic waitress Damia💫. For sure, I will visit again.

The first thing that stands out is the nice atmosphere! Really enjoyed this part of our visit. We also enjoyed our choices of burrito and tacos and had some rounds of really flavorful co*cktails along the way! However, I do find their menu a little bit overpriced. Overall, it was a nice experience!

Absolutely loved this place. We were lucky the night we visited as I'd forgotten to make a booking - don't make that mistake. The staff were super charming and very attentive considering that it was very busy. We never felt rushed or ignored. The food is really very good, I've never actually been to Mexico but these were some of the best tacos I've had.It was a clean, lively, friendly restaurant with great food - what more do you need?

Enjoyed absolutely delicious tacos. Surprisingly all the meat is halal meat so highly recommended to go for meat options if you would. Tried all the different spices and found el diablo to be the one to go for to enjoy the hotness 😉

The mexican restaurant El Vino is a great place to enjoy delicious tacos and margaritas. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is served quickly. The menu has a variety of Mexican dishes, but it's not quite as rich tasting as some of the more traditional restaurants in Amsterdam. Nonetheless, everything on the menu is tasty and worth trying out.

Amazing Mexican food with yummy tacos. Very nice service. Prompt and friendly host. We also got nice complementary starters and desserts

Very cozy place! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Nachos were top! Freshly out and crunchy. Highly recommend. Fajita was also delicious. The portion was huge. Will definitely come back again!

Nice service and food is served very quickly. The waiter was friendly to us as well. The food is tasty, however not quite Mexican tasting at all. The menu did not have a huge variety of Mexican dishes either . It was mainly hard shell tacos or burrito, or baked burrito- so far away from rich Mexican cuisine. But in either case it was tasty.

We had a great meal here! We bought on social deals for 3 courses dinner. Very friendly staff and the foods are tasty. (Goulash soup is rather bland. Nachos are yummy and fajita shrimp is absolutely amazing !!!) Good quality with very generous portion. We usually finish all the food but not this time. Happy that we visited here.

Great staff and great food. Made our Amsterdam trip really fun! The owner is a super sweet man and gave us a bunch of freebies + pics with sombreros.

What a pleasure! We were just feeling like eating a burrito but the place surpassed our expectations. The food was delicious, like grandma food but mostly the energy of the guys who run the place/served us was amazing! The guy treated every single customer with passion, it's just mind blowing how much of a difference people who make stuff with love can make (the food+ service). Institutions are not capable of teaching this in your fancy European schools.Thank you for today, I arrived on a bad day and left full of joy. This is real hospitality.

Super delicious and the staff and so friendly! Prices are reasonable! This is a little gem - definitely worth the visit 👍🏻

Worst experience! Paid 12,50 euros for a burnt burger, told them, they changed the buns (again pretty burnt) but left the burnt patty, completely dry, no sauses, tough to chew, frozen fries also tasteless.. Do not go!!!

Hope this was just a bad day for the restaurant… honest, my experience today was super bad. Food was beyond bad. Above all, Super salty. Fountain drinks had no taste just water and gas. Other tables complaining on the salt. The rice is completely tasteless (like Chinese white rice but painted yellow). I guess I was not expecting real Mexican food for we are in Amsterdam, but at least decent Tex-Mex. Well not even that. You should get acquainted with flavor of the dishes before selling. Unfortunately this review is from a Mexican that has eaten Mexican Food around the globe. This is my least favorite. Guys the nachos… la sopa de frijoles… no way to rescue this review. Had not eaten all day… no even starving would recommend this place on my experience on this day. Wish the place all the best for they are hard working, but sometimes that is not enough. At the end you are a service place selling food.

It is a three stars only because the service staff was really nice. Food was really really basic. It had looked like someone went to Lidl and decided to start playing with the idea of becoming a cook. I have to say it was eatable but a far cry from a restaurant food.Pros: we didn’t get food poisoning. Service was great!Cons: food was just way below average

Worst food ever. Please do not get fooled here. Super expensive and food nor of eating quality

A great brunch place.A small menu that covers everyone’s tastes, extremely well priced - especially for the location.Quite a small location so might be tricky to get a table but worth a wait. The service was good- quick and attentive. Food was great - we all loved our dishes. Will definitely be going back!

Loved this place and the atmosphere was awesome. Service was great, and the food tasted amazing. We got the avacado toast and the Berry bowl and absolutely loved it!! Would highly recommend

Wow what a stunning cafe/bar/restaurant we came here and stumbled on it looking for brunch and thank God we did, the food was stunning and tasted so fresh. The restaurant itself had a very contemporary/ arty feel to it, with great seating inside and especially outside. We felt the service to our table was great but we did see them turning away a group of 10 people, who turns away customers? But overall if I come back to Amsterdam I will revisit this place.

I was on the hunt for breakfast and stumbled upon this nice place. I loved it! The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious and the staff was very friendly. Very welcoming atmosphere. I also tried the green smoothie and ice latte and both were delicious 🙌

Awesome drinks, coffee and food and the level of customer service makes the experience even better. Kind, attentive, quick people with smiles on their faces. I loved the experience and I am only sad we found the place during our last day. When back in Amsterdam, we will make sure to stop by again. Thank you! 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Wonderful spot for lunch! The food is delicious and very fresh. We ended up coming here twice during our stay because the food and atmosphere were so nice.

Good breakfast spot. It is pretty popular so you might have to wait in line a little bit, especially if you want to seat outside on a sunny day. The eggs Benedict with salmon was good. I personally feel that they could have put more salmon and Hollandaise sauce for the price. The eggs could be a bit larger as well. What they do it put everything onto one bun and leave the other bun lying next to the main dish. Obviously if they spread everything onto two buns, it would look quite modest. What I liked is that they serve some fresh salad on the side. The coffee was good but also a bit overpriced. Overall no regrets but I would probably try another place next time

It’s a very creative menu with good combination of the interesting tastes. I love the options for tacos and every-time there was something surprising inside and this experience is not something that you always come across with. The co*cktails were also nice. We were luck that we picked a very sunny day so we were lucky to sit in the outside area. However indoor atmosphere is also super cool. Prices are a bit above the average. But if you want treat yourself then this is the place for good Mexican food!

The food is very delicious and the hot sauces are to die for. They have some options for vegetarians but they are more limited compared to the meat options. Some dishes were a bit more expensive than the others. The drinks are really good as well but when we asked if they could make a basic margarita for us, they said all drinks are pre made and we can't get anything other than the ones on the menu.

I really enjoyed the tacos here! My favourite were the pork belly and octopus ones, the flavours worked really well but the taco shell did feel a slightly chewy / tough.Service was great, however felt a little rushed towards the end as they wanted to make room for next bookings and we were already aware of the time slot.

The food is top notch! Delicious tastes, innovative combinations, great service. The place itself is charmy with open kitchen and nice music in the background. The staff is also very attentive. In my opinion, however, the price is not equivalent to the value. You’d have to order 2-3 dishes per person, coming down to 28-42 eur per person without drinks. Tacos are considered street food and although they use high quality ingredients, which is evident, for the size of the portion the price is too high. If they’d lower the prices by 20-25%, I’d say they’d be just right. Nonetheless, great place !

This place is heaven. You have to reservate, because it is very busy. We came with 2 persons and it was perfect. The best taco's I've had in the Netherlands, almost the same as in Mexico. You have to order different "small" dishes, to share ! We had different taco's from octopus to beef tongue. Amazing place! Shady neighborhood, but the place is just perfect !

Our first time in Amsterdam and we stumbled upon this restaurant - five star service across the board from food, to service, to drinks, to overall vibes. Staff were incredible and extremely personable. Food was impeccable - some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. Could not recommend more!

Yes you might freeze biking up north in a typical Amsterdam night. But once you walk through the curtains of bacalar - everything changes. As warm a welcome as it gets, bustling vibe, on point music and smiles all around. The staff is extremely kind and on point, happy to advice you on the changing menu and local faves. Top it all with a wide beer selection and an array of authentic Mexican co*cktails.all of the above - and I haven’t even mentioned the mains. Tacos as you wouldn’t find anywhere else in Europe. Book your evening - that might honestly be the hardest part given how popular this place is ;)

The food was great, specifically loved everything that had to do with fish and seafood. co*cktails nice as well and the location just feels great. In terms of the meat dishes, they taste delicious, but for some they may be too fatty.

We had a very nice dinner at Bacalar. The atmosphere inside is cozy. A typical Amsterdam Noord vibe, which is just lovely. The food was fantastic. Fresh small dishes, crafted with an eye for detail and containing banging flavors. Shut up, take my money and gimme more ;-P

This is a very happy place, so beautiful, relaxing and colourful. The food was very tasty and the presentation was superb! The sauces are amazing, full of flavour and spicy! Just the way that salsa has to be. The co*cktails are original and very good. The totopos, the burrito and the Mexican Benedict eggs are fantastic!!! Everyone working there were super kind, friendly and happy!!! And it is dog friendly!!! 100% recommend!

Cute 90’s vibe Mexican joint with a lot of freshly prepared specialties. 👌🏽 The food is high quality and tastes good, however, honestly the elevated prices would keep me from coming back again. The portions on everything we tried aren’t quite generous enough (or special enough) to justify the prices and this could be improved. But it’s a fun place with friendly staff!

Very interesting food. Spicy and tasty. There are two or three vegetarian and vegan options. I loved the vegetarian plate with warm corn.Portions are small and it's definitely not cheap, but the combination of flavors are creative. The interior design, as well as the menu, are very colorful and transport you far from Amsterdam.

Lovely place full of good vibes serving excellent Mexican food. All the dishes we ordered were great though we would not re-order the crispy chicken the next time we go back. It’s good but nothing extremely wow. Would try other dishes in the menu instead. Worth checking out.

Nice setting and atmosphere & good service.. unfortunately I didn't check that is was a "set menu" night , and there was hardly any vegan options for me which was a shame! The menu online looks so good & full of vegan stuff. The owner (?) was kind and offered to make me some vegan tacos to make up for it, which were super tasty, so thanks for that!& we loved the fermented pineapple drink, absolutely delicious

Tacos were very tasty, definitely recommend the carnitas and lamb tacos. Ceviche was a bit mediocre, would not recommend. Unfortunately the food and service took very long and the portions were very small. If we go back it would be for the tacos.

Can't recommend this place enough. We got the chef's selection menu and were blown away with it all!! The Ceviche was a definite highlight but we couldn't fault any of the dishes. Each dish was brought out promptly, well presented and we were given a breakdown of all the ingredients of each dish. The owners and staff make the whole experience at LD one you cannot forget and I know for sure that I won't be shutting up about this place anytime soon. Definitely up there with one of the best Mexican places I've ever been to. Fantastic design and vibe too. Just wow.

We stumbled upon this place and were delighted! I ordered the Barbados Lamb Taco’s which were superb. The lamb was tender and Smokey and the flavour combinations (lamb, onion, and hot salsa) were excellent but also with some great textures (pickled carrot and toasted almonds). My wife let me try some of her churros dessert which had a crunchy exterior coated in coarse sugar with a dipping sauce of chocolate caramel and chilli!Hopefully I’ll be back!!

Absolutely delicious food. We went for lunch and had the dry aged rib eye steak - meat cooked to perfection (medium) and sides tasty and fresh. Good salad and good selection of good drinks. Croquettes with shrimp tasty too. Very lovely staff, we will be back for more!

First stop in Amsterdam. Absolutely will be returning!Top notch quality food. We tried the Mushroom, Mussels, Cod, and Pork Belly. Each flavorful and cooked to perfection. Great value! The bread/butter and fries are also to die for.The staff are wonderfully kind, passionate, and helpful as well. And no reservation? No problem. Bravo!

The food is very good. Especially chicken liver pate. It was 10 of 10. The lamb sausage 7 out of 10, because it wasn’t juicy enough. Mussels was 9/10. Very nice sauce and mussels were good too. French fries without score. Just good.Overall atmosphere quite nice. It is very historical place. But inside the garden is quite hot in warm weather because there was no even slightest breeze.About service. One of the beer glasses wasn’t clean enough, maybe not properly cleaned of soap after cleaning. It wasn’t a problem, we cleaned it with a tissue.

Excellent restaurant in Amsterdam Centrum. We’re recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. Friendly service and would visit again on our next trip. Definitely recommended.

Fancy looking restaurant in a historical building. We didn't think we could afford it, but the menu is surprisingly good and surprisingly affordable. Great find. There's also a courtyard area and Street side seats. Great gezellige area.

Great location in an old historical building. Service was really friendly and professional. Overall I would not recommend this place as 1) the food is not great, 2) there are no proper brunch options and 3) it’s full of tourists. Better to go somewhere else in the neighbourhood. It definitely has great potential.

What a great place to eat. Even the building is awesome. The Restaurant is located in a very historical building called West Indies House who was responsible for conceptualizing NYC. The company built a Fort in Manhattan and they used alot of inspiration for it from Amsterdam. Anyway the restaurant was a great recommendation from a friend and we literally ate there about 4x when we visited last week. The food was great and the staff even better. I highly recommend to try this out when you find yourself in Amsterdam.

Great food friendly staff. Bit pricey but worth it. Very cute courtyard dinning area

Simple but VERY tasty food, loved the atmosphere and decor. HIGHLY recommend for people who appreciate quality food. My favorite was the ravioli.

Roses is a modern, trendy French restaurant and co*cktail bar serving unique and modern dishes from around the world. Featuring an extensive tequila selection, this perfect spot is the perfect place to wind down after a night out in Amsterdam.

Slide 1 of 3

Definitely one of the places in Amsterdam I can recommend. Food and service are both really good.I would first like to compliment the excellent service. Funny, yet service oriented. I can best explain it by saying: this is someone that likes doing what they do.Our wine tasted a bit sour, and he immediately gaves us two new wines to taste. As a nice touch, my girlfriend and I got free shots, because of her birthday; cherry on the cake! The Ceviche Tiradito is nice and spicy and taste exactly how a ceviche is supposed to taste: nice tender fish and amazing sauce.Tostadas de Gamba's are nice and lemony. Really fresh and super tasteful. Quesadillas are well filled with great cheese and the guacamole and beans make it a nice dish next to the main. The Nikkei Atun Tataki is also really tender and well-seasoned. The flavours are balanced and very delicate.

Roses always meets expectations!I am a true fan of this place. It's consistently good every time I'm here concerning all aspects, food, vibe, music and staff. Great for romantic diners, group diners, friendly diners and (birthday) celebrations. Actually good for any occasion! This time it was my birthday! When entering the venue you immediately get this romantic and cozy feeling. On every table there is a Rose and a Candle. The interior is with rough wood and fits well with the Latin American vibe. The staff is genuinely friendly and funny, and is very helpful in choosing food and drinks. They always make you feel welcome and a special guest.Ceviche TiraditoMy all time favorite dish. The sour and spicyness come together perfectly, and it is beautifully presentedQuesadillas (without Chorizo)As a Pescatarian is it possible to order without Chorizo. This is my guilt pleasure. All the flavours are there. Cannot go wrong here if you want to play it a bit safe. I would suggest to ask some Lime as a finishing touch.Tostada de GambasI expected it to be a warm dish, which is not the case. Nevertheless a great explosion in your mouth.Seared Tuna and Grilled VegetablesI am not a huge fan of seared food. But this one was well made for sure! the sauce and tenderness were amazing. Grilled vegetables were great sides.Other recommendations:- Ceviche Traditional- Ceviche Nikkei- Grilled Pulpo (Main)At the end we got some nice sparkles and shots of Tequila for my birthday. Great thanks to the waiter from Barcelona for the entire eveningOveral great experience! Coming back really soon!

The sharing street food Plate was pretty average, the steaks were good. The Restaurant is pretty big with tables outside and inside and a bar in the second floor. The staff was friendly and the place normally is full.

Restaurant

Alfonso's is a Mexican restaurant with delicious food and great service. The portions are perfect, and the taste is excellent. It can be noisy inside, but it's not too bad. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal at Alfonso's!

Slide 1 of 7

Had a very nice meal. Perfect portion sizes. Great taste. Excellent service. A touch noisy, but nothing you can’t adjust to. Reasonably priced. Terrific atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

Good Mexican place with friendly staff and quick service. We’re from the US so our expectations for Mexican food in Amsterdam weren’t very high but I can happily say this restaurant provided what we were craving. The food wasn’t overly flavorful as is but it’s Mexican food so you just add hot sauce and all was good.

The people who are giving this restaurant such great reviews need to go to an actually good Mexican restaurant. This place is super standard, it’s expensive and the portions are extremely small. The quesadilla is a joke, the fajita has 3 tortilla wraps and a few pieces of beef for €25. Amsterdam food scene has no hope if people think this is great.

gorgeous mexican foodedit- we actually came back here again on our 5 day trip as the food and service was so excellent. can’t recommend enough

Friendly service but dishes were hit and miss.Good: Ground beef was nicely seasoned in the burrito and taco. Chicken was nice. Portions were a decent size. Friendly staff.Bad: Caldo de carnes was very bland - no/little seasoning. Margarita (frozen) was very watery. Rice had no flavor.Alright if you have a craving for TexMex.

100% recommend you visit this place for some Nachos and Fajitas absolutely lovely food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the staff were also very friendly chatty and polite 👍

Great service: waiter was very accommodating when we showed up near closing time, and very attentive throughout our meal.Generous food portions at fair prices. We had beef and chicken tacos which were really good (shell did not fall apart). A bit disappointed they did not have shrimp filing for the tacos.Overall pleasant experience.

Good food, good service.Food came quick and was full of flavour. The guy serving us was polite and professional, and they have a good menu.

A lovely little restaurant situated quite centrally. Quick and friendly service. I have no complaints about the food. Their portions are quite substantial. Meal for two with drinks comes to about €45. Which isn't exactly cheap, but given it's location, it wasn't a surprise. I would recommend this place.

Think these guys get a bad rap cos they’re in the tourist centre. The foods good and drinks aren’t too bad, price is affordable and service friendly and quick. We were the last customers too. They also have a cat that lives there - plus points!

Was a really friendly atmosphere. And good service. It’s only a small kitchen so if a lot of orders go in at once it may take a bit longer to get your food. Food was really tasty and they offers some local Mexican drinks. Would definitely visit here next time we are back in Amsterdam.

We had a really great time, service was really good. The food was great as well. Kind of touristy but still very good.Good price considering the quantity! We had de enchiladas, loved it!

Kriterion is a student-run art-house movie theater with great screenings and an excellent selection of films. It's perfect for lovers of cinema, whether you're a movie buff or just looking to catch some good entertainment. Additionally, they host Taco Tuesday every week, so you can enjoy good food and great movies at an amazing price.

Slide 1 of 9

Cinema in a good location and with a very nice bar. Students make the atmosphere of this bar noisy and fun. Service is top notch, fast and courteous. You can always find a place, but not a separate table.

In the ground floor they've got a bar with a nice vibe and good selection of drinks, prices are average. Upstairs they've got a cinema with a great selection of films, sometimes with English subtitles, great for Non-Dutch speakers, my only comment is that the seats are a bit uncomfortable and the AC is quite cold, better bring your coat

Some of the waiters and waitresses are so clearly just there for a pay check and put 0 effort into customer service. A couple of the security people are quite disrespectful and nothing is done about it. I ordered a couple pitchers with the boys and after the second pitcher I was asked in a very condescending way if I was sure I wanted another one. Yes, and your jobs are to serve me my pitchers rapido, not ask stupid questions. I thought it was a bar for intellectuals. Very disappointed

Nice movie selections, Enjoyed 35mm film. You can bring drinks to the theatre from the bar.

Usually busy with students from the university in front of it. I’ve been there for the bar and also for the movies. The movie theater is not the best but is quite ok.The bar has plenty of different beer choices and a alternative style. Usually gets really busy in the afternoon when the classes are over. And the bathrooms can get quite messy, specially if you are a girl and need to sit.Don’t expect a fancy place is more a altern party/fun place.

One of the more rustic art house cinemas in Amsterdam. Always great to go for a drink anyways.

Great place to study, watch a movie or have some drinks. Phenomenal atmosphere and cheap drinks

Nice place to write an essay, have a drink - even during summer. The last movie I watched here was BlacKKKlansman. I wish they would do something special with the movies they showed though, I feel like it's minimal.

A great independent movie theatre with an incredible history. They show most of the new upcoming movies. Comfortable seats, nice size theatres and great cafe downstairs as well.

Super tasty mexican food, big portions and lots of choice. Delicious co*cktails. Also good selection of beers. Staff is very friendly. Recommended.

Great variety of traditional mexican /spicy/ food ! Tried the nachos with cheese and meat which was very tasty! The tacos were a bit too hot for my taste. They play traditional music as well.

Very nice location and options to sit inside or outside! Food was delicious! We took starters and main courses and all were different and tasty! Many options to choose from and of course halal options which is a big plus! Its a lot of food and would definitely recommend to take different options and share!! So you can have a taste of multiple delicious food! Service was good and price/quality as well!

Really good neighborhood Mexican cantina, filled with locals, where you're likely to engage in conversation in no-time. Food is good and tasty. Ideal for a sunny Sunday.

Very good food, but service needs improvement. Empty restaurant and yet you have to wait a lot. Waitress passes by, doesn't say anything.

I’m very surprised with the good reviews that this mexican spot has. It’s a great concept and the tortillas are homemade and very good! That’s where it ends… the tacos overall are super bland. A couple of good combinations that end up being disappointing. Those good tortillas are crying for bold flavours! It’s a shame and I totally respect the hard work going into opening a restaurant but the tacos are not good enough. They could sell their tortillas though as they are pretty spot on. Maybe it will get better with time and I will be there to try it again!

Tomatillo is a Tex-Mex restaurant located in the heart of London. The dishes on offer are typical of the southwest of America, such as burritos with rice, beans and salsa or spicy fajitas and tostadas. The Burrito Wild Alaskan Salmon is a must-try dish - it's filled with lime-garlic rice, vegetarian black beans, grilled wild Alaskan salmon and organic cheese.

To start I’m American and I love Tex mex. I got the chorizo burrito with pineapple salsa. It was authentic and a large portion, I recommend the burrito. My wife got a cheese quesadilla and was very happy with her choice. We got chips that were good but a little too salty. We will go back before we leave.

Delicious Mexican food.. spicy and very fresh.. highly recommended

Usually love the burritos when we go eat at the shop instead of ordering takeout because its nice when they’re still warm, but this time they were cold. When mentioning this we just got an “oh sorry”. Then when we were about to leave, they guy at the register waved us to come back and pay an extra 1,75 for the extra sour cream we ordered. We had a great time at our dinner on Saturday. The atmosphere is lively and inviting. Our servers were very helpful and friendly and the food arrived quite quickly in relatively large portions. The only thing I would say is that not all dishes are created equally in terms of flavor. Our favorite dishes were the nachos with added beyond meat and the apple pie for dessert. In future though I would ask the staff about the best and most popular dishes as the cauliflower wings were sadly lacking in comparison.I would still dine here every week if I were a local.

I had a reservation last night for my birthday and I and my friends really enjoyed it. My non-vegan friends are obsessed with the nachos they had, the staff was so friendly and nice and everything was affordable for the group. The food was very very tasty, definitely coming back! Thanks for the salsa!

The restaurant looks very nice fancy in the inside and the service is very good! However the food quality was disappointing, the portions are small and the don’t put enough quantity of the ingredients. I had a quasedilia that was basically a fajita bread with cheese for 18.50€.

Really great food! As a non vegan enjoyed the dishes a lot. Flavours and textures were great! Staff friendly although at busy time service is slow. Overall great and would return! Frozen margaritas were delicious!

It’s a cool and very spacious vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Amsterdam. Very friendly staff. However the food was very expensive given the portions. The co*cktails were amazing. The bartender is very talented for sure☺️I have mixed feelings whether I should recommend. But what I can say is that if you want to try delicious veggie food and don’t care about the price then definitely go for it.

The place is really nice, good atmosphere, the staff make you feel welcome. The food was very particular, the menu is 100% plant based which makes it even more special. co*cktails are great!! The only reason for the 4 stars are the prices, is really really expensive compared to the portion (quite small). However i would recommend it for the experience!

Great takeout! The bowls are filling and the meat tasty! The sauces were great too especially the cucumber yogurt and the pineapple 🍍I loved the chicken quesadilla 🌮

The cold weather called for a hot lunch and I went to Salsa Shop at CS. Been here before and remembered it as good.Looked empty when I arrived but it was open. Went for the rice bowl and it was ready in 1 minute. With a few drops of their hot sauce it was a nice hot lunch.Did not give 5 stars as the dish quickly become cold and the chicken was somewhat dry.

Bought one rice bowl around €10 to share between two people. Have us an extra set of cutlery. Service was fast, everything except the lettuce was fresh, food was tasty. Only thing is the rice for the rice bowl was too little, could've done with 2-3 times the amount given, and a little less chicken, because after a while the sourness of the salsa and salads get to you, and the chicken is a little dry, the salty rice would be perfect if there was more of it. Right next to platform 10/11, easy to pick up something while changing trains to go to Amsterdam, I recommend it!

Great Mexican food in a nice atmosphere. We had quesadillas and guacamole.

Original review below, bumping to 4 stars as although my comments below were still true on a second visit, I had the pork and the habenero sauce and they were so so good that it made up a for the size.My recommendation is to get it to go, as then it won’t be cut in half, and that way you get one of the bready bits out the way at the start rather than having it end each half.Restaurant comment was right about the price too, I was mistaken.—-In many respects this is a great burrito. I had the chicken tinga and the meat was really great, so were the other fillings. It was easily the tastiest burrito I’ve had in the Netherlands (although that’s not the highest bar)But for almost 14 quid [edit: it was closer to 12:50 - my bad] the problem is it was way too small. Im just not that full - after eating food which is usually perfectly stomach shaped! The wrap looked the right size so I’m not sure what’s going on. Maybe this is a more authentic size for a burrito than the monsters you normally get? Even so.It came cut in half and from the cross-section you’d think it was a very different burrito than what it was. But its like those Japanese supermarket sandwiches - presentationally it’s looks great but it’s not at all representative. Within a couple bites of each half you were done with the best bit and left with the quite bready ends.

The location is really nice as you have plenty of other options from different countries.Cochinita tacos were nice, authentic and tasteful. El Burrito was a bit too simple but also acceptable. The lady working there is very professional and kind.I work very close to this location so I’ll be back many more times. The fifth star is gone because a the menu is very limited. But surely it is a place to visit.
