Does Toyota have a factory in Europe? ›

Europe is a major manufacturing hub for us. Today we have eight manufacturing centres in Europe, building cars, engines and transmissions. Each one is committed to delivering ever better cars for our customers.

Via the philosophies of Daily Improvements and Good Thinking, Good Products, TPS has evolved into a world-renowned production system. Even today, all of Toyota is implementing kaizen to TPS day and night to ensure its continued evolution.

There are two manufacturing plants in the UK, representing a total investment of £2.75 billion and employing approximately 3,000 members (including Agency). Toyota VINs starting with "1", "4", or "5" represent vehicles assembled in the United States, VINs beginning with "2" indicate vehicles assembled in Canada, and vehicles with VINs beginning with "3" were assembled in Mexico. Vehicles with VINs that start with "J" were produced in Japan.
