A venue is a place that is for events like concerts, plays, athletic competition, entertainment etc.
A location is anywhere. a house, a school, a restaurant, a park, a beach.
It location can be a venue, and a venue can be a location, but they are not always the same thing

A venue is a place, usually where an event can be held, like a park, a theatre, house, etc.
A location can be any point on earth. It can be a country or coordinates at sea.
A venue can be a location but a location can't always be a venue.
