What Pregnant Moms Receive in Their Monthly Oh Baby Boxes (2024)

As a mom of five, expecting my second set of twins, I decided to try out Oh Baby Boxes! Cratejoy sent me a box in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own.

What Pregnant Moms Receive in Their Monthly Oh Baby Boxes (1)

I am not one who needs a lot of pampering, even while pregnant. I have long been skeptical of these pregnancy subscription boxes out there as not being worth the value to me, personally, as they are mostly lotions and soaks and stuff I wouldn’t normally use anyway.

But, as I’m on my fifth pregnancy, and second twin pregnancy, I figured why the heck not at least try them and see for myself? I sure could use some pampering this time around as I know I’m gonna get HUGE as I carry these twins to term (hopefully).

Plus, I’m always a fan of trying out more natural and organic products, slowly but surely, into our everyday life. I am definitely not uber green or anything here, but did switch to natural deodorants years ago, generally hate disposable products, especially plastic water bottles, and was using reusable bags for grocery shopping long before it was law.

Okay, so on with the review! You can watch my Oh Baby Box Unboxing & Review video on Youtube too!

What Is Oh Baby Boxes?

Oh Baby Boxes claims to be the #1 pregnancy & postpartum box filled with healthy and fun products tailored to your due date! They are the “ultimate pregnancy lifestyle subscription box.”

Each monthly Oh Baby Boxes is full of 6-8 full-size pregnancy safe products to promote a healthy & relaxed pregnancy. They select the finest ingredients including organic, natural, artisan, & holistic goodies to pamper expecting moms based on their current gestational month.

After birth, mamas automatically receive postpartum boxes for a smooth transition.

What I really like initially about Oh Baby Boxes (over their competitors), and why I was open to trying them, in particular, is that they boast over $100 worth of pregnancy/postpartum goodness in every box + free priority US shipping.

The monthly subscription cost of Oh Baby Boxes is $39.99/month, but you can pre-pay for a 3-month ($37.99/month) or 6-month subscription ($35.99/month) to save on the overall monthly costs.

With free shipping, a promised $100+ value in each box, that’s really a pretty great deal, assuming you enjoy, like, and use the products they send you. Otherwise, you’re still gonna be wasting your money, right?

Thus, why I’m writing this review: to help you figure out if you will get $36-$40 worth of value out of these boxes each month for the few months while expecting.

You already have enough stuff to spend money on and buy!

You can totally ask someone to gift you a subscription to Oh Baby Boxes, and not have to worry about that cost thing at all, though~

Oh Baby Boxes Review

I received my first Oh Baby Boxes at the beginning of my second trimester.

The Oh Baby Box itself is pretty cute in its design, both outside and inside.

My box contained eight items! Those eight items were (with retails value marked next to them):

  • The Self Love Workbook – $13.95
  • Totally Preggo Tote Bag -$15.95
  • Birthing Affirmations – $15
  • MaskerAide Spotted Acne Pads – $4
  • Ursa Major Natural Shampoo – $26
  • Champagne Charcoal Scrub – $18
  • Mom Life Post-It Notes – $8
  • Dr Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask – $12

While the retail value of these products altogether is indeed over $100 ($112.90), there is no way I’d ever spend $100 on all these items, but I can definitely see at least a $40 value, or the cost of the box.

I also liked the diversity of the products.

Some are very practical, like the tote, post-it notes, acne spot treatment, and birthing affirmations. These are things you can enjoy using for a long time, and unique items I wouldn’t have picked up for myself usually (especially as the post-its have a coffee cup sticker and I don’t drink coffee).

I am not crazy about products boasting “Self-Love” as I kinda hate that term, so I probably will not be using the workbook at all (I will look to give it away probably to someone eventually). I don’t think it is a bad workbook, and if you struggle with personal worth and self-image, I can see it being of huge value to you.

The champagne charcoal body scrub is weird to use, but it really does leave your skin soft and supple, no lotion needed afterward! I used it on my arms, legs, belly, butt, and my skin felt and looked great afterward.

The shampoo smells very citrusy and is super runny and doesn’t suds all that much. I was very skeptical of using it, but I have to say, my hair felt really good, smelt good, and looked really good afterward! Even with using my regular (non-organic/natural) conditioner afterward.

I do think the product goes fast and is expensive, however.

I haven’t used the sleeping mask (cause I’ve never ever done a sleeping mask before so I keep forgetting to put it on before bed) or the acne spot remover, but definitely need to remember to use it on myself and on my tween daughters.

Overall, these are some great products, and definitely worth the cost of the subscription box. It’s not all beauty/body products either, which I really like.

With their range of products in the box, I would definitely want more of these boxes to hit my mailbox each month to treat myself.

  • Eye masks
  • Bath salts
  • Body lotions
  • Books for dad
  • Socks
  • Belly masks
  • Baby booties

  • Preggo pops
  • Belly oils
  • Pregnancy journals
  • Mugs
  • Robes
  • Coasters
  • Pens

  • and More!

Some of the pictures of previous boxes look super nice. They definitely put in high-quality items and things for mom, baby, and more.

If you want to give them a try, sign up through Cratejoy and use code OHBABY10 to get 10% off at checkout!

So there you go! I honestly think this is one of the better pregnancy subscription boxes out there, as the items are diverse, often practical, and the value of items well exceeds the cost of the box!

I would totally want to receive more boxes from them.
