The Business Services Department provides financial services and controls in support of a complex governmental organization and maintains the financial integrity of the City.

City Clerk's Office

Office of Economic Initiatives

The City of Tucson Office of Economic Initiatives coordinates the City’s economic development programs for the purpose of attracting jobs and investment to the City of Tucson.

Environmental and General Services

The City of Tucson Environmental and General Services Department supports a safe and healthy environment by providing residents and commercial customers trash, recycling, Brush & Bulky and Household Waste Collection.

Equal Opportunity Programs

OEOP is a branch of the City Manager’s Office responsible for the oversight of all anti-discrimination programs and policies as well as the investigation of discriminatory practices and wrongful conduct for the City of Tucson.

Fire Department

The goal of the Tucson Fire Department (TFD) is to minimize the loss of life and property from the effects of fire, medical, or other emergencies, and to render assistance as required.

Housing and Community Development

The City of Tucson’s Housing & Community Development department serves as the: Local Public Housing Authority, providing housing assistance to thousands of Tucsonans. Community Development agency, supporting strong communities and safe and decent living environments by funding important projects and programs. Housing First provider, giving shelter and services to people experiencing homelessness.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Department provides direct service and policy direction to city departments, 5000 employees and 3200 retirees in accordance with policies and programs of the City Charter, Civil Service Commission, Mayor and Council, and City Manager.
