Starting and Stopping SAP Systems (2024)

You can use the SAP Management Console perspective to start, stop, and restart SAP systems and instances.

Context

In the SAP Management Console (SAP MC), you can extend the list of SAP systems and instances you want to monitor and administer from a single tool. By default, the SAP MC displays the instances installed on the host to which you are connected. If you want to start, stop, or restart remote systems or instances, they need to be registered in the SAP MC.

With this version of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS), you are able to start and stop database instances if the SAP host control is installed on your central instance.
